Protopresbyter Anastasios Gotsopoulos is the rector of the Holy Church of Saint Nicholas, Patra, Greece. For over two decades Fr. Anastasios has been one of the leading voices of the clergy in Greece responding to the challenges and distortions of ecumenism. Fr. Anastasios became well known during the period of COVID-19 for remaining faithful to his promises as a priest to lead the people in the Divine Liturgy on the Feast of the Annunciation, for which he was charged with breaking the law and eventually convicted. He is the author of The Church of Rome and Its Bishop in the Minutes and Decisions of the Ecumenical Councils. He is also the author of On Common Prayer with the Heterodox, as well as numerous articles and canonical studies.
